With Eyes Wide Open

”Open Your Eyes” has been Your Favorite Enemies’ very first video clip. Last week, you have seen how the crew members have reacted. And this week, we are sharing with you short clips that people from all over the world sent us in reaction to the video clip. People from the United States, Australia, Poland, Belgium, China, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Chile, France and Sweden.

Different people from all over the world, different in their nationalities, in their languages, in their religions, in their beliefs, but one and all the same, no matter what… Because we’re one. Because we’re united. Because we all need a place where we belong. Because we all want to be loved.

We were lucky to meet some of you on tour. Some of you, like the members of our European Family, we met way before the video clip was filmed. Some others, and I am thinking of Nesti here, we met years after the making of ”Open Your Eyes”. Others came to visit us at home, spent a few days or several months with us. There are people I have never met before. Some people I have seen but didn’t have a chance to speak with. Some of you didn’t know us at the time, and I know you would have sent us a video, too. But video or not, what is truly amazing is that this story is one that we all share in common. Somehow, somewhere, we realized that there was something more. It could be a song, or a band you love. It could be a person you met. A movie you watched. It doesn’t matter so much what it was… It ain’t about “Open Your Eyes”. It ain’t about the band either. As long as we know that together, right here and now, we are alive… for all that it means. Alive and well. Together. Loved.

This video is not only you. It is me as well. It is us. It is them. And it is not only ”Open Your Eyes”. It is YOU in our every day life. With every message you send us… Honestly, THANK YOU! And what is your story? Let us know. Share it with us. There are no limits.

I must admit that I was really overwhelmed after watching this video… and I want to thank all the ones that sent in their testimonies… your words are all very powerful and I am sure that they will inspire many people that will hear them.

By sharing your heart, you’re giving the opportunity for someone to believe for their own life… this is powerful!
For me this Ceremony & Jubilation blog is a reminder that all that we do does have an impact, even if we think that a simple action is invisible…
We can help each other to take care of ourselves, of our lives and see how precious it is…
YFE has opened my eyes too, on the fact that I am not alone in this world and that there’s always so many opportunities to care for others, that I have the power to make a difference.
