YFE Family Reunion

Family has always been a very important part of Your Favorite Enemies… spending countless hours on Myspace sharing with people and building relationships.  Back in 2007, after a couple of shows at the Vans Warped Tour it was time for family and YFE was getting ready to live their very first YFE Family Reunion organized by our dear friends and family from the States… Not knowing what to expect, joy and excitement prevailed and we were just so happy to finally meet in person the people we had been sharing with for months!!  

Early that morning, we filled up the cars… two big vans filled with YFE band members, some people from the crew and also friends that we’re visiting us in Montreal from the States and the UK! You can only imagine how crazy of a ride it was going to be!!! And let me tell you … IT WAS!!! Ben and Jeff screaming and singing at the top of their lungs… Sef falling asleep most of the time…laughter prevailed as we were on the road to meet our family!!  On our way there, we shared about our excitement to meet everyone…  Reminiscing all the wonderful conversations we’d had over the last months…. We didn’t know what to expect once we got there.. I mean how can you?… these were people we met on the internet… never seen in person before… but somehow we knew that what we built over the computer screen was real and true…  

After many long hours on the road, we finally got there… one block away and already the guys couldn’t contain their excitement… Miss Isabel had tears in her eyes as we approached our destination and saw everyone there waving at us and their smiles just beaming!!! What a sight it was… to finally see our friends… The car hadn’t even stopped yet that Jeff and the others jumped out and ran to greet everyone!!! We hugged, talked and laughed for hours and hours…  It was as if time stopped and nothing else mattered… 
 

The whole weekend was organized by our dear friends… so after meeting everyone it was time for supper and karaoke…. And that’s when the real fun started… we discovered that Moose sings in a very high pitched voice… Jeff… well had a bit of trouble following the lyrics… and Sef… well let’s just say Sef was in a category of it’s own! But it’s in these simple times that we lived the most precious moments… After a crazy filled night of singing and dancing we headed back to the hotel and hung out together until sunrise!! In the morning it was time to say goodbye… that’s always the worst part… but we knew it wasn’t a goodbye…it was a ”see you soon”  And until this day, those memories still live in our hearts… those times we shared will never be forgotten and will always have a special place in this journey we lived together for the last five years….
