March 2008 was the date the video clip for “Open Your Eyes” would be filmed… and well, Your Favorite Enemies being Your Favorite Enemies, it needed to be done in grand style… You know what I mean? They’ve never done anything like anyone else! And that’s what we like about them; they’ve always remained faithful to their hearts!
So they decided to invite everybody for the week-end. Not only for the week-end, but also to be part of the video-clip itself. To assist to the filming of a part of it, and to have a role in it.
This video is the invitation card the band members sent to everyone… After watching this, you knew you wanted to be there. The only thing you didn’t know is that everything would be much more intense than what was shown in this video… 😉

Ja du hast Recht, wenn ich das Video sehe möchte ich unbedingt dabei sein. Schade, dass es schon 5 Jahre her ist.
Aber ich kann mir auch vorstellen, dass es viel intensiver gewesen ist, als es in diesem Video gezeigt wird. =)

We have such amazing actors in our team… I am glad they both changed their style though… lol!! It’s been 5 years already since we recorded the music video for ”Open Your Eyes”!! We were so excited about having our friends from all over the world living the moment with us… It was one of our first times creating a whole weekend gathering… I remember us being a bit nervous about it but the time we shared was amazing and our relationships grew even stronger there!!
It’s a great souvenir to look back at!!

What I remember most about this event is all the weeks of preparation and excitement seen in the band and the crew!! It was as fun to find ways to create memorable moments and to anticipate the reactions of the people as it was to live those moments!!
Spending time with a rock band is one impressive and unique thing, but when they care about you and want to make you feel like the star and a member of the family, that’s priceless!

For as long as I’ve known them, Your Favorite Enemies has always been about gathering with others… no matter who you are, where you come from, or what’s your background… They’ve always been about turning moments into eternity… And I’m glad that 5 years later, we can still be part of the moment, through those memories we share!! It makes me smile, makes me laugh and makes my heart warm again to see all those images!! I look forward to sharing more and more moments like these, with all of you!! 🙂

Man this weekend in Montreal was so crazy! I remember all the snow! It was crazy and freezing cold!
But I also remember all those faces! It was such a deep and meaningful moment that we lived all together!!
It was an intense period from what I remember… All those faces kept us together somehow!
