Relevant Magazine (US): Transcript of an interview he did a few months ago for the American Christian cultural progressive Magazine “Relevant”, Alex is openly sharing about his past, his vision of mercy, faith and hope, along with the importance to cultivate empathy and to turn compassion into action… far from being the religious type of guy… Alex told us that any magazine having Ben Harper, Thrice, Ben Fold, Muse on their past covers… added with rigorous articles on sexual abuse, on genital mutilation, on urban poverty, on children of wars and on the importance of taking care of the African countries crawling with aids… is a magazine deserving attention... well… knowing how generous Alex might be in interview, we all have to admit that if the transcript challenge has been won, the article should be pretty interesting… you’ll be able to find out in less than a week when the new Relevant’ November-December Edition will be out for sale…. NÙFILM TO PRODUCE YFE’S FIRST VIDEO
New Video For The Song “Open Your Eyes”
YFE is proud to announce that the famous production company Nùfilm, well known for the enormous quantity of major prices they won all over the world for music videos (Arcade Fire, Hot Hot Heat, Malajube, Sam Roberts, Tragically Hip), short films (Le Rouge Au Sol, Les Jours) and independent movies (Sophie), will team up with the band in order to craft their first video for the album version of the song “Open Your Eyes”. Thrilled and excited about the incredible opportunity they’ve got to work with Nùfilm and the incredibly talented duo of producers “Félix & Paul”, Jeff told us: “we all feel really privileged to team up with NùFilm and “Félix & Paul” for our first video… I mean… it’s pretty rare for an unsigned band that doesn’t have any financial support from a record label to be able to work with an international “Top-A list” company to produce its first video… so yeah, we’re privileged and lucky… and we’ll make sure to involve the whole family in the making of the video… stay tuned for more details, we have many ideas to turn that video into huge meet and greet happening.”
The production for the new album version of the song “Open Your Eyes” video is schedule to be filmed in Montreal at the beginning of January… we’ll keep you updated in the upcoming weeks.

NEW ALBUM ON THE WAY
YFE About To Hit Back The Studio
The band will hit the studio back on November 12TH to work on their upcoming album… due out for late spring 2008… to do so, the guys rented an old cabin in the woods and transformed the whole place into a full operational studio… the result should be pretty interesting… hope it won’t be a mix of woodland folk and traditional country music… we never know… sometimes nature’s having a really strange impact on creation… so let’s hope for the best… lol… they haven’t left for the studio yet… we might have a chance to warn them about the impact of fresh air and clean water… lol.

The whole YFE team is very happy to welcome a very special friend from Japan on November 1ST… the presence of Yuki in Montreal is now qualifying Alex’s home as a potential Japanese Embassy in the little Montreal’s South-Shore town of Varennes… lol… should be interesting to see if the mayor will be open to declare Alex’s lot as being a Japanese territory… if so, the neighbors will have a lot of fun trying to chat with our special friends in French…

Already blown away by the first 10 000 hard copies we sold after only 6 weeks following the release of our EP on June 1ST, the whole YFE team was quite speechless to realize we sold 20 000 copies of "And If I was To Die In The Morning… Would I Still Be Sleeping With You" in such a short period of time without any traditional promotion campaign and any structural support from any established label. In fact, many people asked us how possible it could be… which is a polite way to express major doubts… do we have a secret marketing machine, a personal money printer, a bunch of trained monkeys managing everything from a hidden location underground… well… ok… I guess it's time to reveal the whole plot… to reveal the new and unique way we've been able to do everything… one word… one magical and powerful word… PEOPLE… yep… a revolutionary concept consisting of really caring for an individual, implying the development of a nourishing and empowering relationship with somebody you're ready to trust and be real with… all resulting in an intense mix of pain and joy while both persons are learning to surrender to their deepest need of love and compassion… cause at the end of the day… after investing in the people… it's not about the number of copies we sold… it's not about the success we think we have or dream to have… no, it doesn't have anything to do with money or success… it's all allowing yourself to grow and share… that's Your Favorite Enemies' plan… cause that whole EP's craze has nothing to do with us… it was requested by the people… and organically cultivated through out relationships... we believe that where trends and buzzes are shining overnight only to fade out in the morning, true relationships are seeding hope in ways that even the purest revolutions haven't been able to transform a nation's soul and heal a broken heart… relationships are our only plan and love is the only purpose we ever had… no numbers or sales will ever achieve such a vision of community and empathy… now you know!!!
