THICK WALL OF DESPERATION FOG (3am) - By Alex
Moving Between Berlin and Cologne

The day went by so fast, it really felt good spending the whole day at this little Café in Berlin… I always try to write a few lines in every places I'm stopping by… even if we're touring, I like to keep in mind the upcoming album and I like to let the cities, the new faces, the local conversations and the different spirits guide the inspirations and lead my creations… that's why I feel so blessed to be on the road before going back in studio… cause there's nothing like being vulnerable in front of strangers looking at you with arms wide open… and today was a beautiful experience for me… cause beside YB eating… I've been able to witness a world blooming in front of my eyes all day… shadowed by cigarette smokes and transported by Ray Lamontagne songs… I've watched the faces coming and leaving… I've listened to the different voice tones laughing, worrying, complaining… just like a discordant choir singing the black and white aspirations of a generation longing for the colors longtime stolen by the hopelessness of having spent so many days on their knees, whispering prayers who were kept unheard… I realized, seated before that thick wall of desperation fog, that cigarette smoke is a blessing when lights are too weak to daub mercy around the faithless heart of shadows… cause even if the Berlin Wall collapsed a few years ago… people are still trying to reach out for somebody's soul waiting for them on the other side of their own insecurities and fears… I know cause I've been hiding my face all day behind that wall of smoke, way too scared to let the light expose my needs to anyone looking my way… I never smoked… but I'm shameful to say that today I was glad so many did… and my lungs are filled with the pain of my frightful way to veil myself from anybody's desire to heal my wounded heart, hurt by too many rejections and abandons…
