Heart and Soul Through Ages

Your Favorite Enemies’ First EP
Heart and Soul Through Ages

Music goes through ages… We forget places, faces, spaces, and traces we’ve been, met, discovered and left… But we never forget music. It accompanies us through phases we go through at our own pace…

Certain songs will always remind us of places we’ve been, faces we’ve met, phases we’ve been through. Though we forget what exactly has happened, the music never fades away. Though everything that surrounds it becomes blurry with time, the melody remains crystal clear…

In the midst of a year they lovingly named “Ceremony & Jubilation”, the band members of Your Favorite Enemies decided to rediscover the moments they lived in the last five years, since the release of their EP called “And If I Was To Die In The Morning… Would I Still Be Sleeping With You”.  In this first interview about the EP, the band explains why they decided to craft it, and what is the meaning that lies behind its title.

So many things changed over the last 5 years … But true and honest music remains unchanged. Perspectives may change, but the soul, heart and spirit of this EP is just as relevant today as it was 5 years ago.

I remember how happy I was to be able to have a Your Favorite Enemies album!! I remember being intrigued by the album name and album cover!
Yes, I still own this album and I remember my favorite song was Hold me tight because at the time it was with Left Behind the two newest songs. My friend had gotten the EP for me and had sent it to me by mail as I was spending the summer in my hometown. I remember how that song was a comfort to me while I spent those months in a place I didn’t want to be at, at that time. When I had returned, I had gone to see a show at the Café Campus and Alex had brought me on the stage during this song and I guess forever it will remain one of my favorite memories knowing you guys 🙂
I remember wishing that No Time Left for Confusion would be on the EP. It too was one of my favorites at the time 🙂
I am loving this going back stuff!!

PS- Guys I really love your styles now better lol and yes that even includes you Mr Foster with the long hair! and Kanu… forget the mustache lol thats just creepy! 😉

What I remember, was that I was excited when I found all of you, and could tell that immediately, there was something special about each of you, that separated you from the rest. You all are so down-to earth, and felt like I’ve known you all of my life. I was looking back at memories too, and I certainly don’t want to loose that closeness that we all had in the beginning. I was getting teary just reading those past memories, though I am very thankful for the present too, and I love Alex so very much with all of my heart and soul, xoxoxoxox, that I wouldn’t trade to be put back in time when he wasn’t in my life, that you all weren’t. I keep praying and blessing the future each day, and put my faith in God to walk me through any roadblock along the way. I am not a quitter, and I won’t give up on him, us, and the dream. Alex is very precious to me, and I count on him for so much, and each of you are very important to me, too. I really am happy to see all that each of you has accomplished already, and it inspiring to not give up. 🙂

I remember so much, from that day. I recall Alex saying “Someone who’s supposed to inspire us,” when I got behind and off course, and knowing that I didn’t want to be behind like that again. There were so many times, where I wished I could’ve been there right by his side to comfort him, and I wish that he could be here now, that you all could be.

I love you millions Alex, xoxoxox,so much Sweetheart, more than you realize.;)

    I send love to all.

I wanted to add, that this was such a special moment, and recall watching it the first time that it was released, back then. There was so much laughter, and a great moment with the family. I have listened to it often, and I would say my favorite song was Hold Me Tight. it was beautiful and made me think of how romantic it is, that despite how hard things may seem to be with the one you love and have those fears taken away, nothing compares to. I think that shadows can be hard to fight, though they can be conquered. I am thankful for the beginning, though I wouldn’t trade a moment with Alex, xoxoxox, he means the world to me, all of you do.

That flashback clip, brought back great times, and there is still many more memories to create. I think that it would be hard to pick what song that I would’ve liked to see added to it, as it is perfect the way that it is. What I was trying to say earlier, is that wouldn’t want to be put back in a time where I didn’t know all of you, or that Alex wasn’t apart of my life, as he means the world to me, and I love him very deeply!;) He fills my life with so much joy and happiness, and to have such an amazing family too, makes life so great!

I will have to write more in a letter my thoughts. I wish all of you a great weekend, and week!

I love you so much Dear Alex, xoxox, and I send love to all.

I appreciate that you bring us back through these great memories guys. Not that the present is not amazing enough to stay in it but sometimes, revisiting the past for its beauties helps to grasp even more the treasures that we have in our hands and to grow something out of it…

”‪And If I Was to Die in the Morning… Would I Still Be Sleeping with You” was our very first music release, I am so proud of it, and now that we have become stronger all together the band, crew and family…I know that we are ready for more!‬!
